What is the Teacher Gaming Network?
The Teacher Gaming Network (TGN) is the largest online gaming network for K-12 educators where YOU control all of the game content. TGN is an online source where teachers can create their own games, with their own content, while utilizing various question formats and game styles. TGN has five different question formats, including: True/False, Matching, Multiple Choice, List, and Short Answer/Fill In. Each question format has at least one corresponding game style.
There are two different subscription options available; Basic and Plus. The Basic account is available FREE to all educators, and includes two question/game formats and unlimited use of the Community Feature – where educators are able to search through more than 7,000 questions and games created and shared by other educators within TGN. The Plus account includes access to all five question/game styles, the Community Feature, and an advanced Student Data Tracking system. All games are designed around proven techniques to help motivate and stimulate student learning.
How does TGN Work?
Using TGN to create games is quite simple. All of your questions are entered into your personal profile, where they are stored for easy access each time you want to create a new game.
Once your questions are entered, just select a game format, such as Short Answer, Multiple Choice, True/False, etc., and then select a game theme. The game theme will help determine whether you are a creating a game for group use-maybe using your interactive whiteboard, or for individual users, where your students will play the game from their own computer at school or at home.
Step 1: Enter Questions
Enter questions through our online system in one of the following formats: true/false, multiple choice, matching, list, or fill in the blank.
Step 2: Select Questions for the Game
Select a set of questions that you entered and turn them into an interactive game in a matter of minutes. Alternately, you can search a database of shared questions from other users in our system and add them to your games.
Step 3: Send the Game to Students
After the game has been created, simply share the unique game link with your students. TGN Plus accounts keep detailed statistics about student's responses for each question answered.
